Subaru Loves the Earth

One of our promotions is the Subaru Loves the Earth program. For the month of April, Subaru and Subaru retailers everywhere teamed up with TerraCycle® to help keep waste out of landfills. Subaru dealers proudly put out special zero-waste boxes to collect hard-to-recycle items. TerraCycle® collected these boxes and recycled them, turning them into helpful objects for the community, such as park benches, flower pots, bike racks and more. Drivers love Subaru, and Subaru loves the Earth.

Of course, Subaru Loves the Earth is not the only Subaru event. Subaru is dedicated to giving back in many different ways, and different months have different events. No matter what month it is, Subaru is dedicated to helping to make the world a better place.

Spreading the Love to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Getting to share the love and spread good cheer is just one of the many reasons why we here at Brown Subaru enjoy being a part of the greater Subaru community. In the summer of 2018, we were proud to, once again, prove to the communities of Amarillo, Canyon, and the rest of the country, how much Subaru cares about people, by taking part in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society blanket and craft kit event.

We were one of thousands of Subaru dealerships from across the U.S. to help Subaru deliver blankets and craft kits to leukemia and lymphoma patients, with more than 40,000 blankets and 7,7000 art kits delivered, and we look forward to getting the opportunity to do so again.

Subaru Share the Love - Snack Pak 4 Kids

Kids simply cannot learn if they are hungry, and Snack Pak 4 Kids is working towards helping end weekend-hunger in communities across the great state of Texas. Right here at Brown Subaru based in Amarillo, TX., we have proudly partnered up with this fantastic and selfless organization, so we can get involved in making a real difference for kids who need help the most throughout the greater Amarillo, Lubbock, Canyon regions and beyond. On October 6th, we were thrilled to host the SP4K Bag Packing event here at the warehouse of dealership. At this event, some of our staff members and also many enthusiastic volunteers were generously helping prepare bags of healthy and kid-friendly snacks for children in-need.

The unfortunate reality of the situation is that 1 in 4 children in Texas are food insecure, so it's very evident that there is a tremendous need for this program. When kids are hungry over the weekend, they aren't ready to learn at class on Monday morning. That's why we love to help prepare these 'Snack Paks' for kids in the community to have over the weekends, so they can make the most out of their time in the classroom during the week.
